Glass

Third Rail Glass was a glass blowing studio started by Frantz Davies in 1992, after studying at Penland, NC under Flo Perkins from Santa Fe, NM and Brian Kerkvliet from Bellingham, WA.   Various blown and cast glass pieces were produced over the years, specializing in hot assembled work utilizing a two-car garage.  Great respect was learned from the rhythm and syncopation of a team working in concert to produce complicated blown pieces – and a lesson directly applicable many ventures including architecture and construction.

Paths

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

― Mark Twain

The experiences gained through visiting places, seeing striking examples of art and architecture, and interacting with people will always inform our sensitivity in design.

Community

We are involved. We are interconnected. We care.

Linnaeus Teaching Gardens

The Linnaeus Teaching Garden behind the Tulsa Garden Center adjacent to Woodward Park is one of the best-kept secrets in Tulsa.  For the relatively small investment of forty volunteer hours a year, Barry Fugate shares his knowledge on a wide range of horticultural issues… from basic botany to insect entomology. Barry is quite the evangelist and the volunteer training program is truly a (bacterial) blast.

Living Arts Tulsa

"We consider art as a basic and functional essential to each person’s full development. Living Arts strives to help create an environment in which art may thrive. We are aware, informed and actively participate in cultural history-in-the-making."

Tulsa Hub

"Tulsa Hub is a syndicate of volunteers devoted to putting their neighbors who need transportation on a bike"
